Meet Our New Team Members
Billy McDougal
Director of Client Services
Billy McDougal is the Director of Client Services at Private Practice Transitions. He is responsible for maintaining relationships with our current clients as well as working to expand our client base. His focus is to help business owners understand how to proactively plan and execute the M&A process successfully to achieve optimal value.
Billy is an accomplished Financial Executive with over 20 years’ experience in strategic planning, corporate development, and M&A transactions. He has been involved in numerous strategic initiatives including buy & sell-side acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, and joint ventures. He enjoys helping facilitate business transactions by understanding the story behind the businesses he works with while taking pride in helping clients achieve their goals.
Billy is a graduate of the University of New Orleans earning a master’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Finance. In his personal life, Billy’s interests and passions include spending time with his family and close friends, golfing with his two boys, and playing tennis with friends.
Michael Proa
Business Systems & Financial Analyst
Michael Proa is the Business Systems & Financial Analyst at Private Practice Transitions. Mike brings over a decade of analytical and valuation experience to the firm.
Prior to joining Private Practice Transitions, Michael conducted hundreds of independent appraisals on various types of commercial real estate. He is a Certified General Appraiser, licensed in multiple states. Analyzing and interpreting cash flows is central to the valuation of income-producing properties, and he has demonstrated unique expertise in this field.
Mike has a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Utah Tech University. In his free time, you will find him out with his wife, four children, and his four-legged best friend exploring the red rocks of southern Utah. He enjoys all things summer, his Subaru, and music.
